Provide hands-on cGMP development and manufacturing of biomaterials for clinical trials under Phase I & II, utilizing a wide range of techniques. The scope of this position will encompass all phases of production from cell bank creation/thaw, through cell culture scale-up, to cell culture harvesting; providing material for further downstream processing to the Purification department within Biomanufacturing. Additionally, the position will assist in training efforts.

BS in Biology, Microbiology or a related scientific field. Two years of manufacturing experience in cell culturing and/or bacterial fermentation laboratory. Knowledge of cGMP regulations, with experience working in a GMP environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of aseptic technique, handling of biological agents and manipulations with small and large-scale cell cultures. Experience in the operation of fermentors and/or bioreactors. Candidates must be computer literate with knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word. Possess ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Work well independently and in a team environment.

Preferred: Experience in chromatographic techniques.
