Job Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer will report to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure and Strategy and will be responsible for network strategy, deployment, and support in Turbine’s Corporate and Production networks. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in network design, implementation, optimization, and reporting, and will be required to work cross-functionally with Turbine’s Product Development and Support organizations to sustain and enhance user experience. The candidate should also have proficiency supporting production Windows Server environments, with experience in OS deployment, support, and troubleshooting. EMC SAN and VMware experience is a plus. Experience as a key contributor within a data center environment is preferred. This position requires a great deal of independent problem solving and an understanding of in-house tools and technologies.

Essential Functions:
• Design, configure, and support LAN, WAN, IDS, Firewall, monitoring, and filtering technologies
• Identify and troubleshoot network problems and escalate when necessary
• Provide top-tier support to internal and external customers as well as international partners
• Anticipate and identify issues and develop effective alternative solutions; work proactively to avoid potential issues and capacity bottlenecks
• Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware) to improve the performance and reliability including Technology Roadmap generation and forecasting
• Perform general Windows Server Systems Management, Patch Management, Software Distribution, Remote Access and Security functions
• Work as part of a team to provide 7x24x365 support, performing application and network troubleshooting and providing consultation to the Development, QA, and Business Operations teams
• Network scalability and capacity planning
• Create, follow and maintain documentation and standards
• Mentor Junior & Staff level system engineers. Coordinate with IT & Infrastructure teams for all cross-functional actions/issues.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Able to estimate, plan, and organize tasks associated with the role with minimal assistance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years managing and supporting network services for technology oriented companies
• Experience managing a mixed Windows/Linux 200+ node network
• Knowledge of Web applications and technology support from a platform and network perspective
• Experience managing EMC SAN environments (DMX, Clariion, NS, SAN fabric and switching) is a plus
• Strong technical and communications documentation skills
• Occasional travel (<20%) to data centers or International partners may be necessary
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations
