Turbine is growing our Program Management Office. We are looking for bright, enthusiastic, experienced Project Managers to help us better organize and deliver as we grow and expand our product lines, global partnerships, and the company as a whole.
As a member of our Project Management Office, the Project Manager is expected to manage cross-departmental projects, to champion project objectives, provide a framework for communication and to enthusiastically lead in the continuing evolution of Turbines Project Management & Process Improvement process, procedures, and tools. Projects can be for new titles, acquisition and retention programs for existing titles, and improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions:
1. Lead project teams to deliver expected results on time, with intended scope and quality, and on budget
2. Coordinate effective communication across all project resources
3. Own, maintain and publish high quality & appropriate project documentation
4. Create process & business flow documentation
5. Proactively identify potential problems and implement creative solutions to eliminate roadblocks or other project delays and drive issues to resolution
6. Deliver timely and accurate reports concerning project status to executives
7. Coordinate with other project managers to eliminate resource conflicts
8. Perform analysis of current state processes, lead teams to identify & implement process change resulting in measurable gains
9. Implement on-going measurement systems to ensure process gains are sustained
10. Matrix -manage all necessary resources and staff for the project
11. Other relevant duties as assigned by the manager
Required Background, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor degree in Management, Engineering, or Science preferred
3-5 years of project management experience with successful completion of at least 10 successful projects
Expertise and hands-on experience with project management fundamentals
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
Pluses:
MMO experience
Game studio experience
Console experience
E-Commerce / micro-transaction experience
International project experience
Advanced degree in Management
PMP certification
Six Sigma experience
SCRUM experience
Teleportation or cloning skills
Passion for creating and playing great games
Required Skills:
Effective communication skills with a variety of personalities and staff roles (from artists to engineers, marketing to execs)
Ability to identify creative solutions for complex issues
Ability to quickly adapt to business demands
Superb organization skills
Experience in matrix management
Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio and similar project tools
