Job Description:

Southwestern Energy Company is currently accepting applications for a Chemical/Corrosion Specialist. The positions will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsabilities:

1. Design, develop and optimize cost effective chemical programs for DeSoto producing operations.
2. Coordinate with vendors and production operations personnel to ensure that treating chemicals and protocols are optimized.
3. Evaluate methods to effectively manage H2S and CO2 in DeSoto producing wells.
4. Maintain expense and chemical usage tracking system. Perform cost analysis as required.
5. Coordinate/oversee sample collection and analysis program for water, gas and scale. Involves working with company and third part employees.
6. Coordinate with operations counterparts on the use of surface and downhole chemical treatments (maintenance and remedial treatments.)
7. Ensure that all company and third part employees under supervision comply with HSE rules and regulations.
8. Track scaling tendencies and make recommendations for prevention and/or remediations.
9. Supply technical expertise on water chemistry for completion, work over and other well operations as required.
10. Serve as technical advisor to Supply Chain Management group on contractor selection and contingency planning.
11. Develop best practice standards for Fayetteville Shale chemical applications and corrosion control.

Job Requirements:

*Requires proficiency with MS Office products; specifically Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Must be able to interpret and manage large volumes of technical data, perform necessary computations and work as needed in a lab environment
*Must be creative with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Ability to flourish in a fast-paced work environment
*Ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
*Good teamwork skills
