| Description |
This position is responsible for the execution and support of all production maintenance and preventative maintenance activities which will achieve the desired results in quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale. The mechanic is assigned duties to insure that plant equipment is maintained at levels consistent with Company specifications.
Must be self-motivated with mechanical and some electrical knowledge including, but not limited to, machine repair and rebuilding, welding, pipe fitting, all phases of 460v/230v/120v and motor controls.
Candidate must possess good time management, English-written and verbal skills, communication, organizational, and people skills. Pay or hourly wage is commensurate with experience, up to $26.00 per hour and a night shift premium.
DUTIES: 1. Diagnose and repair operational problems with production machinery and support equipment. 2. Performs repairs to production lines. (i.e. bearings, chains, belts and rails using proper replacement parts.) 3. Perform all aspects of changeovers. 4. Perform preventive maintenance procedures. 5. Rebuild manufacturing equipment as directed. 6. Perform and assist with emergency repairs to production equipment. 7. Weld (mig & tig) and torch as needed. 8. Read and interprets blue prints. 9. Performs tasks in a timely manner. 10.Must be able to follow instructions and work in a team environment. 11.Must have good attendance record.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. This employee is required to stand, walk, sit climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move more than 50 lbs.
Mandatory compliance with Safety Lock-out-Tag-out procedures required.

| Requirements |
Applicants should possess a minimum of a journeyman's level of experience in repairing a variety of high-speed assembly and packaging machines. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics required. Welding, electrical skills and working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs also desired.
Must be available to work weekends.
This position requires your own tools. High School diploma Ability to read/write English
