| MMI Products, Inc., a wholly-owned group of the CRH/Oldcastle network of building products companies, is currently seeking an Outside Sales Engineer for its Ivy Steel and Wire Plant located in St. Joseph, Missouri. Primary Job Function: Develops business and retains and services customers in the specified geographic region to achieve Company goals. Identify customer needs and market opportunities. Essential Job Duties: 1.Generates and develops new business to meet specified sales goals. 2.Maintains and nurtures existing client relationships. 3.Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. 4.Prepares and presents sales proposals. 5.Plans and manages sales territory. 6.Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers. 7.Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of welded wire reinforcement industry product information. 8.Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed. 9.Negotiates contracts and work agreements. 10.Ensures that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. 11.Provides timely and accurate reports as required. 12.Attends and participates in business/trade events that impact business unit. 13.Attends and participates in team strategic sales meetings. 14.Complete special projects and other duties as they arise Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Experience 2 years sales experience within the welded wire reinforcement industry or a related field required. |

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Travel Mostly by car, up to 75%. Certifications/licenses State-issued driver’s license, proof of insurance and a clean motor vehicle record. Computer skills/software Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CAD), network navigation, and Internet navigation skills at an intermediate level required.
