| We are currently recruiting for a Cisco Network Engineer to join our IT support team located in Charlotte NC. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and professional team in a changing environment with considerable scope for learning and development. The successful candidates will be able to: Work as part of a team in a fast paced environment Have experience LAN and WAN design Have experience in network operations & monitoring Have experience in data center operations Be a self starter and have a strong desire for continued professional development RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES include (but not limited to): Assisting in the development and implementation of LANs and WANs Evaluating and proposing new technologies to enhance network performance Maintaining and developing thorough network documentation using Visio Network performance tuning and monitoring Evaluate existing network operations, identify deficiencies and make network performance recommendations Configure, deploy and install network communications hardware Perform after-hours maintenance as required Performs other duties as assigned |
| Requirements |
| 2+ years experience in an enterprise network with experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms 4 year computer sciences degree required Cisco CCNA and/or CCDA certification required Experience with routing protocols such as EIGPR and BGP Experience with QoS techniques, bandwidth monitoring and management Experience with circuit activations, provisioning methods, capacity planning, frame-relay, MPLS and IPSEC VPN Experience with network tools such as Orion NetPerfMon, Whats up Gold, MRTG, Cisco Works and common network analyzers Experience with VoIP design and implementation a plus Experience with Sonicwall UTM appliances and GMS a plus Cisco distributed and centralized wireless solutions a plus Strong written and oral communication skills required |
