Looking for a senior-level manufacturing program leadership position? If you have experience taking electronic components from design to manufacturing of at least 100,000 units, this may be your next opportunity! This position provides Program Management for Manufacturing in the LED Systems / Solid State Lighting organization of OSRAM SYLVANIA. Coordinate and project manage all manufacturing aspects for new product launches including prototype and pilot builds, process documentation, quality instructions, work instructions and test procedures. Coordinate both the Research & Development and Quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability. Optimize manufacturing processes and costs early in the product design phase. Generate cost/benefit analysis for multiple product design and manufacturing process approaches. Coordinate product testing protocol, including the establishment of test procedures and definition of test equipment related to OSRAM specific standards, in conjunction with design engineering, quality, and OSRAM manufacturing groups. 1. Identify appropriate electronic assembly contract manufacturers for projects to introduce new LED Systems products for general lighting applications from established and potential EMS vendors. Coordinate internal manufacturing requirements with Monterrey facilities. 2. Assess the capabilities, capacities and processes at the sub-contractors' sites to meet NPI & production requirements based on product specifications and project timelines. 3. Coordinate set-up, development, and qualification of new EMS vendors in conjunction with corporate resources. 4. Provide packaging specifications as defined by OSRAM to vendors to ensure compliance with company standards, or coordinate approval of vendor packaging with corporate packaging group. 5. Identify Raw Materials Requirements and coordinate with subcontractor and OSRAM vendors for company specific items, and develop component sourcing strategies accordingly 6. Manage the assembly contract manufacturers and engineering in generating a costed BOM, and establishing total product costs to meet project timelines. | Requirements |
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master's Degree strongly preferred • 7-10 years direct experience in electronics manufacturing and electronics manufacturing management roles • Demonstrated experience in new product introductions • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing quality and design reliability of LED products • Demonstrated knowledge of SMT technology is a must • Candidates must possess strong program management skills • Demonstrated understanding of product costing and production cost management concepts • Fluency in Spanish or Chinese would be a plus There is no relocation package offered for this position. The position is located in Danvers, MA and requires some international travel. |
