Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) is the contractor for the operations, maintenance, information management and support of the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC). AEDC is the most advanced and largest complex of flight simulation test facilities in the world and is located at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee, in Coffee and Franklin Counties. The 4,000 acres that comprise AEDC are part of the 40,000 acres of Arnold Air Force Base. Dedicated June 25, 1951, by President Harry Truman, AEDC has tested virtually every high performance aerospace system the Department of Defense has used since. ATA operates 58 aerospace test facilities to include aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnel, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, and ballistic ranges that can simulate virtually every aspect of flight from ground level to deep space. ATA employees at AEDC comprise a variety of technical and administrative skills.
