| Requirements: |
- Master’s degree in engineering, hydrogeology, hydrology, or related field; PhD degree preferred
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience in quantitative modeling of groundwater or surface water systems
- Knowledge of hydrogeology or surface water hydrology, and statistics; knowledge of finite element or finite difference method is preferred
- Experience in developing site conceptual models and building and calibrating numerical models; experience with database management, for example using MS Access, is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage a project team to accomplish complex quantitative analysis projects or tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing experience
- Experience in training and mentoring junior staff, including establishing, focusing, and tracking staff goals

| Responsibilities: |
- Evaluate hydrological data and develop site conceptual model.
- Oversee the building, calibration, and validation of numerical models for groundwater and surface water systems.
- Oversee the development of customized programs for preparing model input files and for processing model outputs.
- Prepare and oversee preparation of reports and calculation packages
- Manage staff, schedule, and budget for projects and communicate with clients
- Provide team leadership through delegation of tasks and mentoring junior staff
- Participate in business development activities
Other Job Requirements Include:
- Proficient in one or more of the following programming lanuages: Fortran, C++, and Matlab
- Proficient in one or more of the following software programs or codes, MODFLOW, MT3D, RT3D, Hydrogeosphere, Groundwater Vistas, GMS, Visual MODFLOW, Hydrus, TOUGH2, MODFLOW-SURFACE, and PEST
