Job Description:
Manage Planner/Buyers in an MRP (SAP) environment. This position will focus on leading deployment of DFT to Suppliers (including completing IT tools, establishing policies/practices, moving purchase orders to DFT Kanban, training Purchasing personnel and Suppliers). Expected results are decreased purchase costs and improved inventory turns. The position will further develop and document company policies and procedures including Government Procurement regulations compliance.

Manage and train as appropriate Planner/Buyers on day to day activities including personal goal setting and job performance evaluation. Lead deployment of Supplier Kanban and establish long term contracts. Establish and maintain appropriate system for compliance of Government Procurement regulations including FAR/DFAR/NAVSEA and ITAR. Develop Sourcing strategies to optimize Supply Chain for quality, cost and on time delivery in conjunction with Production and New Product Introduction requirements. Maintain accurate Purchasing records to support Cost Accounting system including PPV, Inventory Revaluation, Supplier held inventory excess Inventory analysis and Invoicing.

Core Competencies:
• Previous experience in deploying Supplier Kanban..
• Knowledge in Government procurement regulations including ITAR, FAR and DFAR
• Proven leadership and negotiation skills.
• Strong ERP understanding, preferably SAP.
• Experience in ISO9001 and AS9100


Education and Experience:
• 10 years progressive purchasing experience in a high-tech environment.
• MBA preferred, Bachelors degree or equivalent required
