Job Description:
Responsible for building and testing diode pumped solid-state lasers for a variety of fielded applications.
* Setup and utilize laser laboratory diagnostic equipment including optical test equipment, beam diagnostics, energy measurement and thermal test equipment.
* Perform a variety of technical functions related to calibration, alignment, fabrication, assemble, modification and final test of laser assemblies and optics.
* Assist in the development of production processes and procedures.
* Supports other activities to meet shipping requirements as needed.
 
Qualifications:
* Demonstrated skills working with sophisticated optical setups, laser beam diagnostics, data acquisition systems and computers.
* Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team to support various development, troubleshooting and installation activities within the facility.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work under limited supervision.
* Ability to travel as needed.
