Job Description:

Applications are now being accepted for the above position in the Recreation Services Department, Community and Fire Services Commission. You are encouraged to apply on-line at www.markham.ca Hours: Day and evening classes The successful candidate will plan, organize, instruct and lead Yoga classes to adults. In this position you will lead and supervise the Yoga class to adults. You will organize and write lesson plans to facilitate progressive learning. Prepare and organize program equipment and supplies. Working with the Program Supervisor, you will ensure that program participants are aware of upcoming events, program changes, or cancellations. You will supervise volunteers as required.

Job Requirements:

Completion of High School Diploma in Yoga at recognized educational institution (eg. Federation of Ontario Yoga Teachers) Minimum of 3 years teaching Yoga Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Yoga Current Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Excellent verbal/written communication skills, leaderships skills, customer service skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of patrons, parents and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
