Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Responsible for the investigation, valuation, establishment of exposures, negotiation and settlement of assigned property and casualty claims within a stipulated monetary authority. Focus is on handling all assigned claims in-person. Ensures that all assigned claims are concluded promptly, equitably and economically within the provisions of the policy contract and in accordance with the damages presented.
Internal Applicants:
1. A minimum of six (6) months claims handling experience and acceptable performance in all areas. Candidates who have a minimum of 12 months of claims handling experience but no appraisal experience may be considered, but must successfully complete Material Damage Basics class within 6 months.
2. Successful completion of required courses/training and satisfactory performance as an Field Initial Action Adjuster I.

| Job Requirements: |
External Applicants:
1. Minimum of one (1) year prior experience as a field property and casualty adjuster including auto damage appraising. Candidates without appraisal experience who have three (3) years experience as a property and casualty adjuster (field experience strongly preferred) may be considered, but must successfully complete the Basic Physical Damage course within six (6) months from the date of hire in order to remain in the position.
All Candidates:
1. Ability to handle claims via an on-line claims system.
2. Must possess on a timely basis all licenses required by the state(s) assigned and participate in state required continuing education courses.
3. Must possess a valid operators license and maintain a good driving record.
4. Must have excellent planning, organizational and verbal/written communication skills. Some positions will require specific bi-lingual skills
