Job Responsibilities:

General Summary:

Project manages large Business Services (Commercial Sales) orders (typically defined as orders involving at least 25 sites and a value over $20,000 in monthly revenue.) This position manages the customer relationship from an order installation perspective. Requires the highest degree of interpersonal skills needed to effectively manage expectations and resolve problems with key/strategic customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Serve as single point of contact for customer contact/decision maker and account team
2. Create customized project plan for each account
3. Perform milestone tracking and implementation focus
4. Maintain a periodic comprehensive communication package for project status
5. Leads the project management for implementation of sold product solution activities of medium to large scope, with technical complexity typically found in multi-product/multi-region solutions for XO’s multi-market customers
6. Applies solid knowledge of the organization and technical understanding in order to lead program/projects and customer arbitration as necessary, influencing others to ensure a positive outcome for both customer and XO
7. Tracks and drives orders through the implementation process
8. Analyzes issues and manages troubleshooting of complex customer and project requests
9. Coordinates cutovers with vendors and provides any additional information that the vendor may need to perform the cutover

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Manage enterprise customer expectations with a high degree of professionalism.
• Manage multiple, highly complex projects with little to no assistance from direct supervisor.
• Manage project cost to ensure cost containment where controllable.
• Assist sales force with pre-sales activities to improve sale close rate on large sale opportunities (eg RFP responses).
• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to be highly efficient in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to multitask
• Demonstrate ability to matrix manage at all levels across company

Software:
• MS Office Suite required
• MS Project preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Licensures: Project Management Professional Certificate is desirable
• Relevant Work Experience:
• 5-7 years’ directly related experience
• Demonstrate strong business knowledge, including telecommunications
• Ability to understand the functional areas supported
• Experience with report requirements gathering and documentation
• Experience in systems design and testing desirable
