Work with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives using adult learning theory, and instructional design principles to build and design effective learning applications and is consistent with business initiative objectives.
Develop new curriculum or modify existing courses to improve their effectiveness.
Recommend possible formats for providing learning experiences, such as classroom lectures, and self-study.
Write course proposals, objectives, outlines, handouts, texts, learning exercises, tests, and evaluations for classroom training.
Prepare computerized presentations and create or select other media, such as photographs, charts, and videos to assist in teaching.
Provide advice and training to internal trainers.
May conduct assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods.
Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the related.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Strong command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage.
Effective listening skills to ensure understanding of instructions and directions and effectively communicate progress and problems to co-workers and management
Fundamental understanding of the learning and organizational development field.
Familiarity with the ADDIE process.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Intermediate to advanced use of MS Office tools.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Completed a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Design or related field.
