Currently Turbine is poised for unprecedented growth and we are seeking uniquely talented individuals to join us on our mission to create the next generation of online entertainment that unifies the best of massively multiplayer online games, virtual worlds and social networks on and across both PC and Console platforms.

The primary goal of the Production Manager is to streamline the activities of the STU leading up to and including the day of start of a new development cycle. The individual will be involved in pre-production and will be in contact with incoming development team(s), reducing possible surprises and unknowns, and eradicate external and internal scheduling issues. The secondary goal is to organize every asset and schedule in the pipeline. This includes learning, updating and managing TTP, Project and any other software package we use for production tool purposes, and R&D any current and potential package(s). Once all of the short term goals are met and the initial plans of organization are established, plan maintenance must be established. Additionally, quality and productivity must be ensured and increased through constant monitoring and R&D. With the possibility of constant change requests, the amount of accuracy is ultimately important, and relayed plans, priority changes, and subsequently changes in schedule dependencies are essential. Also, with the potential of a new request that would overlap with any current project(s), organizational maintenance and prep work for the next request can still continue while the STU is working with the current schedule(s). This would magnify the need for quick, accurate determination and response by the individual.

Responsibilities:
• Attend all meetings and handle all new requests and change requests during production meetings
• Meet with cross functional teams to discuss requests and breakdown assets needs for the Studio
• Come up with tentative schedule and budget and present to other groups/management.
• Work through iterations of requests and summarize final schedule.
• Facilitate integration scheduling to software package(s) for tracking and scheduling and insure information is up to date throughout the life of cycle
• Ensure correct visibility for Studio members utilizing TTP, Projector other package(s)
• Help determine distribution of Art heads for production across STU to include being point person for intern program.
• Stay in constant contact with all necessary individuals (This position is meeting and communication heavy)
• Assist in outsource in/out depending on needs and scheduling requirements
• Maintain schedule, budget, and asset tracking and visibility
• Update schedule and budget with any change requests
• Continue scheduling with any new requests for assets and R&D tracking software
• Stay in communication with the STU and dev team(s) on any improvements to current pipeline functions and software findings
• Create and maintain documentation, and visibility of such documentation
• Maintain software and licensing documentation and co-ordinate with IT for deployment, new purchases, and upgrading paths using standards agreed upon by both parties


Required Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role supervising or managing production
• Must have exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project as well as other project management tools
• Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and decipher technical information
• Experience on game-dev and/or animation team necessary
• Working knowledge of video game animation pipelines
