Sr. Java Developer
JOB TITLE: Senior Java Developer
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
REPORTS TO: Manager, Java Applications
SUMMARY: Responsible for design, analysis, development, maintenance and support
of enterprise applications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assists in project planning.
• Works with Architect on critical integrations.
• Involves in OO Analysis and design by applying industry best practices and
techniques.
• Generates UML artifacts based on analysis.
• Ensures design principles are followed through the implementation of project.
• Responsible for thorough testing of developed components in development and
staging environments.
• Provides maintenance of applications and production support.
• Creates technical documents.
• Acts as a mentor for other developers on programming issues.
• Ensures consistency of process continuation and completion of deliverable with
group.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the
scope of the activities enumerated above.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• 5 plus years Information Technology experience
• Strong Java/J2EE experience on WebSphere or related application servers
• WebSphere experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Aspect J, iBatis, Swing, AWT, Eclipse plug-in
development a plus. Panorama software (Java performance toolkit), Eclipse RCP, WSAD 5.1/RAD 6 experience, XML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript experience, Rational Tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest) also a plus. |
