VB.NET/SharePoint Programmer Analyst

Description:

Ideal candidate would have experience in these areas:

• Ability to develop custom workflows in Visual Studio 2005 using Windows Workflow Foundation connected to InfoPath 2003 forms running on Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
• Experience using SharePoint Designer 2007 to modify site design and lightweight workflows.
• VB.NET Web Services
• WSS 3.0 Experience
• InfoPath 2003
• XML
• SQL Server Skills
• Familiarity with MOSS

• Candidate must be able to gather requirements and create documentation in addition to development
• Need strong communication skills

Client has a mixed environment of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and MOSS 2007. Client is currently in the process of migrating all to MOSS 2007 Standard.

The upgrade plan for MOSS 2007 has been documented and is currently in the process of going through testing before production migration.

Test and Production environments exist on separate servers and development is performed on local developer machines.

Most of the sites are used for hosting InfoPath 2003 forms that use workflows. These workflows are written in Windows Workflow Foundation in VB.Net and/or have embedded workflow logic in the InfoPath form itself. The applications that have the embedded workflow logic have migration plans for moving to Windows Workflow Foundation.

InfoPath development is performed inside Visual Studio 2008 using the InfoPath 2007 Form Template project type and setting the compatibility mode to InfoPath 2003. Our client has clients that are using InfoPath 2003 only.

VB.NET Web Services are used to communicate with InfoPath, Web Services, SQL Servers, and our MAPICS AS400 environment.

Reporting Services is used and called from the WWF.

Client does also have some sites that use collaboration or other SharePoint specific features.
