This is a 2nd shift position. Monday thru Friday
Hours: 3pm to midnight

Daily Monitoring of the production and certification schedules on the IBM mainframe system which uses OS/390. Ability to respond to job abends and resolve JCL issues without much supervision. Escalating problems using prescribed escalation protocol to management and peers. The individual will also be required to write schedules using UC4. The position will also require the individual to support Saturday coverage on a bi-monthly basis. Daily written documentation of issues and regular turnover will be required via problem reporting tool (Heat) and email. Participation in upcoming project

· 5 + years working in the mainframe environment OS/ 390

· 3-5 years working with scheduler(s) ex: Jobtrac,UC4, CA-7

· 3-5 working with restart packages ex: CA-11,UC4

· 3-5 years of IBM Mainframe operations experience

· Working knowledge of Unix commands (Sun, Linux)

· Strong JCL knowledge 3-5 years. (Job Control Language)

· Strong communication and writing skills

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products, Word, Excel, etc.

· Working knowledge of report distribution packages; ex: Mobius / Infopac, IBM / On-Demand.
