The Buyer Level 3 position will oversee the purchase of materials for production requirements, customer orders and for Service requirements.
In order to work effectively as a Buyer Level 3, the position is expected to: Manage assigned suppliers Utilize enterprise systems (i.e.: SAP) for maintaining and analyzing data used in making business decisions. Create POs and issue to supplier to meet requirements. Provide support for internal customers, i.e.: Engineering/ production/order entry Understand and utilize MRP planning and Inventory management skills. Utilize desktop applications to prepare reports and analysis as required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Process RMAs and other related functions. Working with Document Control and Agile (engineering) departments, understand the ECO and document functions required in order to approve ECOs. Assist Buyer 1 and Buyer 2 personnel. Provide solutions to problems of moderate to high complexity. |

The successful candidate will have the following skills:
Strong SAP experience within procurement. Minimum 3-5 years working experience including
a. Releasing requisitions
b. Placing POs
c. PO revisions
d. Interpreting MRP demand across multiple factories/sites
Software procurement experience
a. Understands/comprehends software licensing (tax, laws and procurement issues) Monitor Purchase Orders and Suppliers for on-time delivery, quality and negotiate best price. Self-Starter, must be able to work independently but under minimum supervision. BA/BS strongly preferred 4-5 years direct materials purchasing experience, with significant negotiating responsibility Good problem solving skills is key Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time Good presentation and computer skills (ie. MS Office).
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
MBA preferred APICS Certification desirable 2-3 years experience |
