Omnicell is looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Product Extensions group. The Product Extensions group is focused at provide the best designs and tools to our Manufacturing, Operation, and Support teams to be able to manufacture and install systems efficiently, and to be able to care for our customers with minimum effort, maximizing Omnicells competitive advantage and profitability across all product lines.
Primary responsibilities:
Work with geographically distributed engineering team on various tools developed by Product Extensions engineering team
Will be responsible to work with various cross functional groups including but not limited to field operations, marketing, support and service to gather the requirements
Liaison between the cross functional groups and the other members of Product Extensions engineering group to convert the functional requirements into technical requirements and help with prototyping/designing the tools to be developed
Will be responsible to complement the IDM tool developed by Product Extensions team by getting expertise at handing the various enterprise technologies available
Will be responsible to create the end to end CMDB tool that will be used by various cross functional groups. Will be responsible to interface with finance, manufacturing, support and other cross functional groups to understand the interfacing/integration requirements with existing tools and incorporate these requirements into developing such CMDB tool
Will be responsible to work with other engineering groups and provide the level of technical leadership for other members of Product Extensions group
Will be responsible to participate in code review from time to time of various tools developed by Product Extensions team
Will be responsible to review requirements document and create functional/design documents
Help with creating the product roadmap working closely with various cross functional organizations
Create and document APIs by following industry-accepted standards |

Required Skills:
Programming skills C#, and .Net 3.5
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Object Oriented skills
Extensive experience with Microsoft TFS
Experience with developing Web services and Windows Services
Winforms, WCF and WPF
Optional Skills
Prior experience working in healthcare industry is a plus
Prior experience with remote monitoring tools is a plus
Strong emphasis on Microsoft Windows System Administration/Security
Experience with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
Full Software Development Life Cycle knowledge, including Agile development principals
Experience with 24/7 application development is a plus
Knowledge with Windows security
Familiarity with Microsoft patterns and practices
Understanding Microsoft Terminal Services technology
Education required
BS in Computer Science or Equivalent
