Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Cross Carline Manager is responsible in leading, developing and approving MNAO's future product strategies for existing and future product lines. The Cross Carline Manager works closely with the Group Managers, Vehicle Line Managers and other key MNAO departments and global counterparts to ensure effective strategies and process improvements.

Essential Duties:
  • Manage/lead cross-carline feature/technology strategy development and proposals to strengthen Mazda's product lineup in the US. Requires a good understanding of future market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions and Mazda brand positioning/product strategies.
  • Input MNAO strategies/voice for future technologies to MC. Lead MNAO product expertise in new technology application.
  • Review cross carline consistencies with the introduction of new vehicle programs.
  • Lead, develop and present Mazda New Owner study (MNOS) to MNAO executive management and MC management. Provide early insight into the competitiveness of Mazda new vehicles. Recommend product changes as needed.
  • Lead departmental business process improvement efforts by analyzing current processes, identifying issues, proposing solutions, working with other departments as needed, and initiating implementation.
  • Support MNAO R&D's request for market information through secondary information and primary information (if needed). Support survey methodology, development and data analysis.
  • Manage other departmental tasks as required-including budget administration, monthly product meeting coordination, as well as ad hoc projects requested by MNAO executive and/or MC.
  • Skill Requirements:
    Qualifications:

    Education (Minimum) Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

    Experience 3-5 years

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    Good knowledge of the automobile industry. Skills include the use of PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Should be good at developing presentations as well as presenting. Good communication skills are a must.
