Electrical Engineer

Reporting to the Manager, Electrical Engineering, your primary responsibilities include the electrical design of institutional, industrial and environmental projects. Typical projects could include:

Schools, recreation facilities, public works facilities,
Primary and secondary substations;
Projects in the automotive and plastic industries;
Water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations;
Studies and designs for electrical utilities.

Management responsibilities will include:

Marketing, proposals, and client development
Technical supervision of design and technical development

Design responsibilities on individual projects may include:

Development of control philosophy in conjunction with process engineers;
Design of power systems
Inspection during construction; and
Plant commissioning.

• A graduate of an Electrical Engineering program with a minimum of eight years design experience. Must be Professional Engineer (PEO) or eligible for registration in Ontario.
• Related experience in a consulting engineering environment
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Experienced in electrical design for institutional, industrial and commercial buildings.
