Bridge Design Engineer

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Bridge Design Engineer to join our Transportation team in our expanding Collingwood office. The preferred candidate will be a graduate of a civil or structural engineering program, ideally with five to ten years of bridge design related experience and eligible for PEO registration. This position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be an integral part of the Bridge Department on a variety of bridge and culvert projects. Preferred skill sets would include: structural design, cost estimating, specification preparation, contract administration, and knowledge of Ministry of Transportation standards/methodology. Applicants must have strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Computer skills include proficiency in the use of bridge related design software, MS Word and Excel. This position will offer the successful candidate an opportunity for advancement and learning.

Lesser qualified candidates may also be considered for a reduced responsibility role.

Collingwood is located on the southern shore of Georgian Bay and at the foot of Ontario's highest ski hill. It is a rapidly growing area that is located on the outer ring of the GTA.
