Electrical Engineer - Healthcare

Our client, one of Canada's best known Consulting Engineering firms is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Healthcare.

This exciting opportunity in our client's Burnaby office will provide you with the opportunity to join a well established team and work on high profile projects. You will apply your engineering knowledge on project work from conceptual design through to completion, primarily in the health care facilities field. You may also have exposure to following areas: hospitality, commercial, retail, institutional and light industrial buildings. Technical quality, cost effectiveness, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance to others are integral parts of this role.

• 7-10 or more years of experience in health care facilities system design
• Additional experience in hospitality, commercial, retail, institutional and light industrial building projects is an asset
• This expertise will include high, medium, and low voltage distribution and protection, lighting, security systems, power, data and communication, standby power, and fire safety systems.
• Professional designation or eligible for designation in BC
• Working experience with the B. C. Building Code and the Vancouver Building Bylaw and Seismic design requirements for electrical work is required.
• LEED certification and experience with multi-disciplinary projects including Architectural, Mechanical, Structural and Communication systems will set you apart from your peer group.
