Construction Project Supervisor/Foreman

  • Salary Range $60K - $85K depending on experience with competitive benefits

    General Physics Corporation’s (GP) Alternative Fuels Group based out of Escondido, CA has an immediate need for Construction Project Supervisors/Foremen. GP is a multi-disciplinary engineering, construction, and technical services company with offices throughout the United States and abroad.

    Job Requirements
  • The ideal candidate must have verifiable 5-10 years of construction experience and a minimum of 3 years as a Project Supervisor/Foreman on projects ranging from $3 million to $20 million.
  • Possess a solid working knowledge of the Building Codes (UBC, IBC, or CBC) and have excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • Must be able to manage all construction activities for our alternative fuel station projects.

    The Project Supervisor/Foreman will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Responsible for day to day construction activates including: maintaining schedules, coordinating work with internal resources and subcontractors, material management, safety and quality control management, and interfacing with customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with local inspectors.
  • Working with project managers to insure projects costs, schedule and quality are maintained.

    GP’s Alternative Fuels Group designs and constructs alternative fuel stations for fuels such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and hydrogen (H2). Historically, the majority of our work has been in California and will continue to be our base load work. Recently, work has expanded into other states including AZ, TX, FL, MI, and NY and we expect to continue to expand across the US. Contract housing and per diem is provided.

    Work Atmosphere
  • Work typically includes grading and excavation, underground electrical, new utilities (electrical, water, sewer, phone), structural slab on grade foundations, CMU walls, process piping (< 6 IPS) and process controls, and explosion proof electrical.

    We have an immediate need for full time construction project supervisors/foreman to meet current contract requirements in the rapidly growing alternative fuel market. Our projects are typically design/build projects. We typically self perform all engineering and specialty construction .
