Summary
Responsible for the development of new and existing business in an assigned region/sector and liaison with operations staff to ensure effective delivery of sold work. Responsible for establishing excellent customer relationships, ensuring total customer satisfaction and repeat business. Assisting with specific PR events as directed in partnership with management, operations and marketing staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • To assist the Business Unit/Project Director in establishing an annual Marketing and Sales strategy/development plan for the designated geographical area/sector of development.
  • Establish marketing goals to ensure market share and product/service profitability.
  • Establish sales targets and monitor and report progress towards target achievement.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans and programmes to ensure the profit growth and expansion of Company services.
  • Research, analyse and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalise on market opportunities using GP central resources.
  • Develop and prepare CPP's where appropriate.
  • Account manage sold work where appropriate.
  • To ensure that the quality systems are maintained and developed following the GP quality procedures.
  • To prepare written sales reports for the Project Manager/Business Unit Director detailing sales/marketing activity on a monthly basis. To report verbally to the Project Manager/Business Unit Director weekly on marketing/sales progress.
  • To participate in the staff development programme within the framework of IIP and within the agreed Individual Staff Development Plan. To ensure that identified staff training within the staff development plan is clearly linked to the geographical strategy/development plan. To ensure that all delivered training is carefully evaluated and recorded on the appropriate documentation.
  • To ensure that the Equal Opportunities Policy of GP is implemented and maintained at all times. Any complaints should be recorded and a copy sent to the Equal Opportunities Director.
  • To ensure that the Health & Safety Policy of GP is implemented and maintained at all times. Any breaches of the policy should be recorded and investigated by the appropriate Health & Safety Officer.
  • To ensure that the marketing database is maintained at all times directing GP staff as appropriate.
  • To ensure full communication with all internal and external agencies, customers, management and peers.
  • To ensure that all documentation is administered promptly and without error.
  • To input to/establish marketing budgets with the marketing team in conjunction with the Project Manager/BDU Director.
  • To ensure that all CPPs are accurate and do not overrun.
  • To ensure that sales targets are met.
  • To ensure that the corporate values of the company are actively promoted and followed at all times.
  • To act in accordance with your confidentiality agreement with the company at all times.
  • To follow policies and procedures.
  • To support a culture that promotes teamwork and discourages divisiveness at all organisational levels.
