Description:
Generac Power Systems – a leading manufacturer of generators -- is seeking an Engine Designer for its Waukesha, WI location.
The Engine Designer’s main objective will be to reduce the backlog of ECR’s and reduce cost with DFM while improving quality and reducing warranty.
POSITION DETAILS: * Maintenance of existing engine and engine components. * Make suggestions and implement product improvements, cost reductions. * Participate in new and existing engine design and drawing efforts. * Interface with Project engineers to create 3D models of engine components. * Contribute to design based value added cost reductions. * Provide input on “best fit” materials, tooling, and assembly practices for new designs. * Interface with manufacturing and production personnel to insure “design for assembly / manufacturing” is maintained.

REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum 2 year design degree and 5 years experience in complex product environment. * Experience with engine design * Experience with die casting, machining and plastics required * Manufacturing environment experience * Actual, applied Pro-E experience
