Water Resource Technician

Description

This job entails working closely with completion engineers to coordinate water supply volumes for ongoing day to day gas well drilling and stimulation needs. This position works closely with the field staff to accomplish construction of water facilities consisting of pits, pipeline, water wells, etc., and works with Right-of-way (ROW) specialists to obtain permission to transport water from location to location. Insure each frac job has sufficient water supply and disposal capability and maintain the appropriate State or SRBC water tracking paper trail/documentation. All work is conducted in a team environment, but this position is responsible for meeting obligations without close supervision.

Requirements

Selected candidate will need to know/or learn quickly about water consumption regulations from the Pennsylvania DEP and Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC), and have a thorough understanding of state water disposal regulations. Strong communication skills to work closely with both field and office personnel and landowners. Good computer skills a must. The position will require about 80% of the time in the field. High school diploma or GED required. College degree a plus.
