We have an excellent opportunity for a North America Supply Chain Planner & Transportation Coordinator in our Mason, OH Corporate office location.
SUMMARY: Plans the overall plant production schedules within established guidelines while maximizing customer service levels, manufacturing efficiencies, machine utilization, and inventory investment. Select and negotiate pricing and terms with Domestic and International Transportation suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyze and balance plant capacity with customer demand. * Develop, publish and monitor the production plan balancing inventory, resources and capacity, taking into account demand from all sources (i.e.: forecasts, sales orders, supplier managed inventories, stocking programs). * Act as liaison between Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Sales to control the Master Schedule. * Develop and maintain intimate knowledge of the company’s products, processes and manufacturing capabilities. * Balance supply and demand for capacity and identify overload / under-utilization situations and recommend corrective actions. * Identify and assist the Supply Chain Director in resolving conflicts with respect to capacity, material, and customer requirements. * Contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning process by developing the monthly Sales & Operations spreadsheets and updating the information presented. * Present the capacity plan in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning meeting. * Conduct Rough Cut capacity planning monthly and more frequently if required. * Establish and maintain capacity plan by plant, by line. * Monitor the Finished Good inventory levels and initiate corrective actions as needed to meet goals. * Facilitate the twice weekly sample/capacity calls. * Develop ad hoc individual customer supply/demand plans as required. * Assist in the development and maintenance of stocking programs for customers with consignment programs. * Identify and select transportation suppliers both domestically and internationally. * Negotiate pricing with transportation suppliers. * Maintain and program Team Track work flows.
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related curriculum or in absence of degree, sufficient experience in a Supply Chain related position preferred. APICS Certification desirable. * One – three years of experience in a Supply Chain related position or internship, plus solid knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP system required. Strong computer and communication skills preferred. * Co-op or intern experience a plus.
