We have an immediate opening in our Mason, Ohio Headquarters location for a Manager, Planning & Analysis.
In this position, you will be responsible to:
• Provide timely and accurate analysis of Distribution Center operating results, including meaningful comparison of actual results to budget, forecast and prior year. Communicate insight regarding operational/financial issues impacting such results to management, driving solution/results oriented business decisions.
• Prepare the annual budget, five-year plan and related analysis for BPC’s Distribution Center and Customer Service units. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in the planning process.
• Develop, implement and maintain superior internal controls and financial procedures for all Distribution Center locations and Customer Service units to ensure the preservation of all company assets. Coordinate with internal audit to strengthen perceived weaknesses at the Distribution Center locations.
• Create and implement best practice solutions to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization, focusing specifically on inventory turns, cost reduction, customer service and productivity. In support of continuous improvement, develop metrics to measure progress versus objectives.
• Partner with Distribution and Customer Service management, actively supporting the achievement of all operational/financial objectives by interpreting all relevant data, identifying and understanding the drivers, forming sound conclusions and making specific recommendations for resolution.
• Support special projects and initiatives requiring significant financial and operational analysis such as location expansion or consolidation, information system implementation, sales/marketing programs, individual market analysis – continuously searching for opportunities to improve profitability.
• Manage real estate leasing activities for all Distribution Center locations with an emphasis on cost control. Analyze all leasing alternatives, including expansion and relocation, to ensure the preservation of operating profit objectives.
• All other activities, analysis and special projects as requested by the Vice President, Distribution and Customer Service and Clopay Building Products Company Management Committee.
Job Requirements:
To be qualified for this position, you should have:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering. * Minimum of three years related experience. * Outstanding computer skills, including Excel, Windows, and Oracle. * Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as return on investment, compound annual growth rates, net present value of discounted cash flows, proportions, percentages and volume.
