Description:
As a Business Analyst/Project Manager with Buchanan Associates, you will manage business and other information systems projects including managing vendors, completing business analysis and justifications, preparing project requests, and Requests for Proposal. You will also be responsible for managing ongoing information systems projects throughout project lifecycle including managing outsourcers, presenting status reports to executive, and acting as liaison between vendor and business unit. The successful incumbent must be PMP certified with a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing enterprise level development projects for Fortune 1000 organization
Required Skill Set
Plan, organize, lead, and monitor the activities of the project team for the assigned initiative (ADC/Infrastructure engagement);
• Initiate, conduct and close projects;
• Maintain overall control of the schedule (person-days) and the delivery of all expected deliverables for the project;
• Prepare the management deliverables in accordance with Buchanan Associates’ Project Delivery Methodology (e.g. Project Plan, Work Plan, Change Requests, Risk Logs and Outstanding Issues) for assigned projects;
• Liaise with the Client throughout the process to gather information and ensure that the Client is involved and informed of status through weekly status/governance calls;
• Act as Quality Manager for deliverables produced by the Project Team;
• Take action on issues of non-compliance in quality;
• Maintain ongoing contact with BA Management, and keep them notified of the status of work being done by the Project Team;
• Keep the lines of communication open among all Project Team members;
• Preparation and submission of all Buchanan Associates reporting requirements to BA PMO.
Technical PM with Software Development Lifecycle working experience
Business Analysis, Project Management, Budgets and Project Plan
Understanding of RUP, Waterfall and other Project Management Methodologies
