This Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) position is a part-time expansion postion at the Illinois Heart & Lung Research Center. This person will work in collaboration with the current CRC in the collection, preparation and submission of regulatory documents, lab specimens, and data, as well as manage sponsor supplied research compounds and protocol subject recruitment in accordance with Research Protocols. Maintains accurate record of all study supplies including lab kits, medications, and other items dispensed to patients. Complies with all standards set forth by state, federal and local law and other regulatory agencies. Is held accountable for compliance with all BroMenn policies and procedures, particularly those dealing with discriminatory acts. Displays the philosophy and values of the organization through daily behavior. Puts the mission statement into practice.
Required Skills
• A two-year degree in scientific or healthcare discipline • Clinical License (LPN, Respiratory Therapist, etc.) required • CPR Certification is required. • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to accomplish workload efficiently and without direct supervision. • Knowledge of medical research principles, standards, applications, and tests. • Knowledge of how to use/maintain laboratory equipment appropriately. • Ability to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, and staff. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality requirements
