Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care by incorporating the concepts of responsibility, accountability, clinical decision-making, authority, shared governance, and critical thinking in daily nursing practice. Primary role is to assist in the nursing process of patient care delivery to achieve the desired outcomes. Complies with all standards set forth by state, federal and local law and other regulatory agencies. Is held accountable for compliance with all BroMenn policies and procedures, particularly those dealing with discriminatory acts. Displays the philosophy and values of the organization through daily behavior. Puts the mission statement into practice.
Required Skills
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant required, or nursing student with clinical experience. Phlebotomy certification and medical terminology knowledge preferred. • CNA certification or applicable clinical experience and/or education. • Skills in lab specimen collection, cardiology procedures, respiratory procedures, and pre-testing functions preferred. • CPR certification. • Demonstrated clinical skills related to basic diagnostic testing. • Possesses good oral and written communication skills. • Possesses sound decision making/problem solving and critical thinking skills. • Previous hospital experience preferred, but not required.
