Transports clients from their homes to the Center and return, to scheduled appointments and planned trips away from the Center. Assists clients to and from vehicle to designated drop off point. Works with adult and/or geriatric individuals, some with physical and cognitive impairments. Provides necessary information to the Coordinator regarding the client and/or family needs. Is in charge of bus maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness of exterior and interior. Completion of required record keeping in timely manner. Keeps supervisor informed of any maintenance need and general upkeep of the vehicle. Complies with all standards set forth by state, federal and local law and other regulatory agencies. Is held accountable for compliance with all BroMenn policies and procedures, particularly those dealing with discriminatory acts. Displays the philosophy and values of the organization through daily behavior. Puts the mission statement into practice.
Required Skills
CDL with Passenger endorsement Must be 21 years of age, have had a drivers license for at least 3 years and no moving traffic violations. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance appropriate to the client age groups, as stated above. Demonstrates the ability to collect the appropriate information needed to identify each clients requirements relative to age/health related specific needs. Position is subject to complying with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) standards. Complete USDOT Drug Alcohol Training. Submit to random drug alcohol screening.
