| Job Description |
| This position is a multi-faceted and dynamic opportunity for a hands-on Network Engineer who desires to be involved in all aspects of IT. The position involves resource and time management for projects, systems analysis, systems design, systems implementation, and systems support. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, detail and process oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have solid problem solving/trouble-shooting abilities. Essential Functions: Designing, implementing, and trouble-shooting modern networks including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, routers, and firewalls. Designing, implementing, and trouble-shooting multi-site Active Directory 2003/2008 environments. Designing, implementing, and trouble-shooting Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 environments. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
| Minimum of 3 years related hands-on work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field. Willingness to work evenings and weekends on occasion. Willingness to travel within the Washington DC metropolitan area. Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory 2003 and Microsoft Exchange 2003. Proficient with the Microsoft Windows operating system (2000/XP/Vista). Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (2000/XP/2003/2007). MCSE, MCSA, MCSE/MCSA:Messaging(Desired) CCNA(Desired) Microsoft Windows Server 2008 hands on experience(Desired) Microsoft Exchange 2007 hands on experience(Desired) VMware design, implementation, and support hands on experience(Desired) Process analysis and design(Desired) |
