About this Position:

We have an opportunity for a Senior Field Applications Engineer, whose primary responsibility will be to support the Bay Area region.

• This position will provide technical support for capturing business opportunities presented by both the Actel direct sales force and our distributors.
• This position will provide frontline support for any hardware or software related issues for our customers.
Strong communication with the sales team and customers is key to being successful in this position.

Key activities will include:

• Developing and conducting product demonstrations & presentations.
• Running design benchmarks to evaluate size and performance.
• Converting existing designs to Actel's technology.
• Optimizing and debugging customer HDL code.

Required Skills and Experience:

• MSEE or equivalent.
• 4 years of related semiconductor FAE experience.
• FPGA/ASIC design experience with working knowledge of VHDL and Verilog.
• Embedded Processor design experience.
• Mixed-signal design experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present to groups and provide customer training.
• Ability to multitask and utilize multiple resources.
• Well organized customer oriented individual.
• System Company Experience (Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson, Alcatel etc.) highly preferred
